Case Study: Take A Break

A journey for organic growth for JakeGatewood and through a branded dance party in Dallas, TX

When I first met Jake Gatewood in 2017, Rap promoter and DJ (JG & Friends) based in Dallas, Texas. He would later become Craig Xen's Official DJ until 2020.

This is the journey from DJ-to-Artist thanks to Take A Break. Take A Break's originally formatted for previous fans of JG to "meet" JakeGatewood (house producer). Take A Break began to take shape with YouTube and Spotify Playlist series "Take a Break", DJ'ing in places like a kitchen restaurant or property open house, to take a break from "work".

Next step, go from video-to-show,Take A Break the quarterly party was born. JakeGatewood would serve as Resident DJ and as well as the talent buyer of the line-up. The line-up would reflect affinity artists with Jake and would be featured in the growing Spotify playlist.
